Kathy Cantrell Holbrook

Kathy Cantrell Holbrook age 63 of Dawsonville, GA passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her residence on September 8, 2018.  Kathy was born in Gainesville, Georgia but lived her entire life in Forsyth County before recently moving to Dawsonville.  She retired from North Forsyth High School, where she worked in school nutrition.

Kathy is preceded in death by her daughter Kristi Holbrook, parents Christie and Kathleen Cantrell, brother Lanny Cantrell and sister Virginia Holbrook.

Survivors include husband Phil “Little Man” Holbrook of Cumming, GA; son Jeffery and Michelle Hammond of Cumming, GA; sister Donna and Ricky Layman of Gainesville, GA.  Other survivors include nephews Joshua and Chad Layman; nieces Kris Bolton, Melissa Cantrell, Kathrine Cantrell, and Justin Wheeler and Amy DeBaker; brother in law Greg and Debbie Holbrook.  Also, a number of great nieces and nephews survive Mrs. Holbrook.

Services for Mrs. Holbrook will be Tuesday September11th, 2018 at 3pm in

The McDonald and Son Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends on Monday September 10th from 11 am to 8 pm at McDonald and Son and again on Tuesday from 11 am till service time at 3pm. The Reverends. Danny Bennett and Danny Ray Martin will officiate.  Rev. Danny Bennett will bring the special music for the service by singing “Look What’s Waiting for Me.” 

Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary English officiating.
