William H. “Bill” Gulledge

William H. “Bill” Gulledge, age 82, of Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia went to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 9, 2018 following an extended illness.

Mr. Gulledge was born on July 9, 1936 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Gulledge, and Bobby Gulledge. Mr. Gulledge was a member of the Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Gulledge was retired from the Michelin Tire Company with many years of loyal and dedicated service.

Mr. Gulledge was a very dedicated worker in the church. He loved cooking for his family, friends, and his church. His hobbies included gardening, travel, and he was an avid reader.

Survivors include his wife, Betty York Gulledge, of Sautee Nacoochee, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Jerome Lewis, of Alabama; daughters, Janice Gulledge, of Alabama; Donna McCarty and husband, Mike, of Georgia; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Wayne Dill, of Georgia; Penny Loggins and Max Miller, of Georgia; step-daughter, Misty Loggins, of Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Tammy Gulledge, of Alabama; step-sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny Wayne and Tammy Loggins, of West Virginia; Timothy and Pat Loggins, of Georgia; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. Mr. Gulledge was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Union Grove C.H. Church with Rev. Paul Flynn and Rev. Mickey Umberhant officiating and military honors to be provided by the United States Air Force.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Union Grove C.H. Church, 1497 Holiness Campground Road, Cleveland, Georgia 30525.
