Annie Marie Poston

Annie Marie Posten, 85, of Dahlonega, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at her residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Green officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour.

 Born on November 25, 1932 in Dahlonega, GA she was the daughter of the late Charles G. and Emma Elizabeth Brookshire Rider. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Posten is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin R. Posten; brother, Johnny Rider; sisters, Bessy Sullens, Cecil Thompson’ brothers, Leon Rider, Sammy Rider and daughter, Emma Ruth Moon.

 Mrs. Posten is survived by her sons and daughters in law, David and Patty Posten of Dahlonega, Johnny and Marsha Posten of Gainesville; daughter, Vicky Bozeman of Dahlonega; daughter and son in law, Marie and David Jones of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Robert and Laura Posten of Gainesville; sons, Randy Posten of South GA, Lester Posten of Dahlonega; 30 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren’ brothers, Leonard Rider of Gainesville, Bobby Rider of FL., and a number of other relatives.
