Amanda Faye Martin

Amanda Faye Martin, 32, of Gainesville passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 following a sudden illness.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Don Elrod officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Born on April 16, 1986, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gennie Faye Slater Martin. She was employed with Kroger at the Chestnut Mountain location. She attended Free Chapel. Amanda lived with her adopted parents for 16 years before living at Star Choices Family for the past 6 years.

In addition to her parents, Amanda is preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Minnie Mae Slater.

Amanda is survived by her adopted parents, Max and Wanda Cantrell of Gainesville; brother, William Martin, adopted brother, James Kelly, adopted sister, Kimberly Kelly all of Gainesville; adopted nieces, Courtney Kelly of Gainesville and Harley Kelly of Jefferson.
