Betty June Phillips

Betty June Phillips, 92 of Gainesville GA, died August 30, 2018.  Betty (June) lived at Smokey Springs, an independent living facility in Gainesville.  Born October 17, 1925 in Sunbury, PA to Theodore Franklin and Alice Carletta Geist.

June married Donald (Don) Warren Phillips in 1944 in Gettysburg, PA.  Don died at the age of 92 in February of 2017 after 73 years together.

She is survived by children John Randall (Randy), (wife Judith Helen) of Cumming, GA; and Ted Alan, (wife Irene N. Petree), of Flowery Branch, GA.  She is predeceased by her oldest son Richard Lee (Rick).

She is survived by three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren: Adrienne Sabrina Bass (husband Brad), and children Danny Scott Deal, Chloe Renata Eads and Avery Scott Bass; Kristina Michelle Phillips and sons: Aiden Merced and Greyson Hayes Rector; and Amanda Lynn Ripley and children Emerson Allen, Adella James, and Elena Preston Ripley. She is survived by her sister Joanne (Pink) Beverly McCollum of Nokomis, FL.

A memorial service will be held at the retirement home Smoky Springs on Tuesday September 4, 2018 at 3PM.  The address is 940 S. Enota Drive, Gainesville, GA  30501.  Interment to be at Arlington National Cemetery to join her husband at a later date.
