John Avery Grizzle

Mr. John Avery Grizzle, age 85 of Dahlonega, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his residence.

Born August 21, 1933, in Lumpkin County to parents Grayson and Louise Tolbert Grizzle, John had lived most of his life here. He was a
retired concrete finisher and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Carroll in 2003. He is survived by his wife of 67 years,
Minnie Thompson Grizzle, Dahlonega, son and companion; Tim Grizzle and Beth Hunter of Lawrenceville, son and daughter-in-law; Jimmy and Satilla Grizzle, Dahlonega. Four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2018  in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home with Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
