John Ed Guyton

John Ed Guyton, 90, of Pendergrass passed away on Wednesday August 29, 2018 at Kindred Hospice in Athens.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. James Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 30, 2018 and Friday, August 31, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on December 12, 1927 in Gainesville, GA he was the son of the late Neal and Avie Stow Guyton. He was retired from Johnson and Johnson and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Guyton is preceded in death by his wife, Mazelle Prather Guyton; 4 brothers, Carl, Neal, Jr., Leroy and Joe; 3 sisters, Eva Bryson, Ruby Hewell, Savannah Guyton.

Mr. Guyton is survived by his son and daughter in law, Albert Steve Evans, Sr. (Terri) of Cleveland; brother and sister in law, J.C. Guyton (Joyce) of Gainesville; sister, Claudine Pressley of Pendergrass; grandchildren, Mark Lowe of Blue Ridge, Albert Steve Evans, Jr. (Ann) of Athens, Erica and Sean McCanna, Stephanie and Larry Voyles, Christa and Tim Roberts; great grandchildren, Miranda Lowe, Mason and Dylan Evans, Trevor and Brayden McCanna, Jacob English, Hannah Roberts, Gabe Roberts, Natalie Riley, Ethan Voyles, Tristan Voyles, Corrie Evans, Amanda Dyer and a number of other relatives.
