Weldon "Sam" Steve Farmer

Mr. Weldon “Sam” Steve Farmer, age 77 of 105 Mize Drive, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at his residence.

A son of the late Henry Calloway Farmer and Essie Palmer Farmer, he was born September 11, 1940 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a machinist with several companies and was a member of Toccoa Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a sister-in-law.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Sue Thorne Farmer; son, Steve Farmer of the home; daughter, Kathy Gilmer of Toccoa; two grandchildren and their spouses, Allen and Nicole Gilmer and Nicole and Jamey Young; seven great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gilmer, Kylie Steadman, Karson Young, Anisten Young, Maddi Gilmer, Karter Young and Camilla Gilmer; one sister, Ann Barfield; two sisters-in-law, Frances Farmer and Sharon Daniel; several nieces and nephews.

Per his request, no services are planned.

Flowers are to be omitted. Memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 53 Rock Drive, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mr. Weldon “Sam” Farmer.
