Ernest R. Barker

Ernest R. Barker, age 73, of Bethlehem, GA passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Iris J. Barker, Bethlehem, GA; children, Sandra and Charles Carswell, Auburn, GA and Lee Ellen Parkison, Bethlehem, GA; grandchildren, Tenicha Carswell, Kaitlyn Jonte, Hannah Carswell and Ernie Parkison; and great grandchild, Kingston Carswell. Mr. Barker was born May 20, 1945 in Marion, VA. He was a 1964 graduate of Sugar Grove High School in Sugar Grove, VA and a 1986 graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor's Degree. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a retired computer tech from Data General. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. There will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Research or Children's Diabetes Research in memory of Ernest Barker.
