Alonzo Wheeler

Alonzo Wheeler, age 73, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Monday, August 20, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Wheeler; son, Rodney Wheeler; parents, Dewitt and Dessie Cook Wheeler.  Mr. Wheeler is survived by his children, Amanda Wheeler, Winder, GA, Crystal Wheeler, Winder, GA, Rhonda and John Watkins, Sugar Hill, GA, Randy and Melissa Wheeler, Flowery Branch, GA; seven grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn (H T) Bush, Jefferson, GA, Elizabeth Holcomb, Cumming, GA, Margie Wheeler, Cornelia, GA; brothers, Dorsey (Jackie) Wheeler, Sugar Hill, GA, Bobby (Nancy) Wheeler, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Wheeler was born on January 29, 1945 in Sugar Hill, GA. He received his education at Sugar Hill School. Mr. Wheeler was a retired carpenter and brick mason, and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Stanfield and Rev. Donnie Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Sugar Hill Cemetery in Sugar Hill, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 20 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
