Jeanette Young

Jeanette Young, age 88, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Young; daughters, Penny Young and Jackie Ray; mother, Lila Daniel Canglin; and father, Jimmie Lee Bishop. She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Young, Oakwood, GA; grandchildren, Cheri Rowand, Braselton, GA, Christie Ray, Florida and Derek Ray, Florida; six grandchildren, Breann Rowand, Chase Rowand, Hailey Ray, Dayton Ray, Weston Ray and Chloe Ray; sister, Kay Hartman, Lawrenceville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Young was born February 1, 1930 in Tifton, GA. She was a graduate of Avondale High School in Decatur, GA. She was a homemaker and member of Scott Boulevard Baptist Church in Decatur, GA. She was happily married to her husband, Cliff Young for forty-nine years. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Melwood Cemetery, 5170 E. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Stone Mountain, GA 30083 with Dr. Jim Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
