Marvin A. Waddle, Sr.,

Marvin A. Waddle, Sr., age 82, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Horace B. Waddle; mother, Myrtle Le Grand; brother, Jimmy Wayne Waddle; daughter, Athena Trammell; and grandson, Frank Trammell. He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Dianne Morgan Waddle, Buford, GA; children, Andy Waddle and Dana and Rev. Chris Fowler; seven grandchildren, Josh Savage, Cherish Kosche, Christian Kosche, Capri Kosche, Andrew Waddle, Hayley and Brandon Martin and Hunter Fowler; six great grandchildren, Savanna Long, Tyler Long, Hannah Long, Dakota Trammell, Brianna Trammell and Braley Martin; and sister, Janie Sue Estfan. Mr. Waddle was born June 12, 1936 in Rockmart, GA. He was a 1954 graduate of Bass High School in Atlanta, GA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served for three years and was a member of the Stockbridge American Legion Post. He retired from General Motors after thirty-three years of service and was a member and past president of the U.A.W. Local 10. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 83 F & AM in Cleveland, GA. He attended Gravel Springs Baptist Church in Buford, GA. The family would like to specially thank the nurses and doctors on the eight floor north at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA and the staff at Seasons Hospice in Cumming, GA for all their wonderful care given to Marvin and the family. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Fowler and Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. The family requested no visitation prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Korean Veterans of Foreign Wars or your favorite charity in memory of Marvin Waddle, Sr.
