Otis “Pete” Lee Keheley, age 84 of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.
Mr. Keheley was born on May 7, 1934, in Gwinnett County, Georgia, to the late Clarence and Annie Mae Graham Keheley. Pete began his career at Dekalb County Fire Department as a firefighter and retired as captain over communications with 25 years of service. He was active in many organizations including Masonic Lodge – Yonah Lodge F & AM, Shriner – Yarab Temple, Georgia Fireman’s Association, Dekalb County Retired Firefighters, and also served on the Dekalb County Fire Department Honor Guard. Mr. Keheley was preceded in death by his sister, Agnes Hencks; and brother, Junior Keheley.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Keheley, Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Misty Keheley, Cleveland, Randy and Crystal McElroy, Lilburn, Andy and Laura McElroy, Grayson; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Mike Parsons, Dahlonega; brother, R.L. Keheley, Buford; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 20, 2018 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
