Roger Lee Wilmot, age 88, passed away on August 7th, 2018 at his home in Buford, Ga.
Roger is survived by his children, Julie Henry and Lee Wilmot; along with their spouses, Dan Henry and Shannon Wilmot; his grandchildren, Caroline Cetrulo, Philip Henry, Presley Wilmot and Spencer Wilmot; his great grandchildren, Henry Cetrulo, Andie Cetrulo, Grace Cetrulo and Payton Cetrulo and his brother, Bud Hochemier. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Sessions Wilmot; his parents, Ray and Bessie Wilmot and his step mother, Bernice Wilmot.
Roger was born on February 23th, 1930 in Holbrook, Nebraska. Roger proudly served in the Air Force before joining the private sector to continue supporting our country in the form of communications. He moved to Mobile, AL where he met his wife, Sandra Sessions. Roger’s work in the government allowed him to live in Germany with his family for 4 years. He worked in the Pentagon for 20 years and after retirement, settled with his wife in Buford, Ga. Through all this time and different locations, Roger remained a Nebraska native at heart.
A funeral and viewing is scheduled for Roger Wilmot and will be held at Flanigan Funeral Home & Crematory in Buford Georgia.
The viewing will be held on Thursday, August 16th 6 to 8 pm, followed by the Funeral on Friday, August 17th at 11 am.
