William David Carney

Mr. William David Carney age 73 of Talmo passed away on Wednesday August 08, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 10, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

William was born on May 30, 1945 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Hoyt William Robert Douglas Carney and Wilma Grace Stover Carney. He was retired from Arrow Tire where he worked as a mechanic.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Carney was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Lee Whitlow Carney and his sister, Mary Grace Carney.

Mr. Carney is survived by his daughter and son in law, Judy and Todd Frankum of Talmo; son and daughter in law, Scott and Elizabeth Carney of Cornelia; daughters and sons in law, Tonya and Barry Simmons of Lula, Kathy and Michael Harris of Talmo, Jane and Michael Evans of Gainesville; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Carney, Jimmy Carney; sister and brother in law, Barbara Ann and Melvin Durham; brother and sister in law, Doug and Judy Carney; sister, Linda Beck and a number of nieces, nephews family and friends.
