Cheston Eloise Cline Lanier

Cheston Eloise Cline Lanier, age 95 of Clermont, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018.

Mrs. Lanier was born in Waleska, Cherokee County, Georgia on January 29, 1923 to the late Paul and Montarie Pittman Cline. She was married for 68 years to the late Harold Stone Lanier. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Paul Harold Lanier, and her two brothers P.A. Cline Jr. and Charles Cline.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Tyre and Cheryl Lanier of New Hill, North Carolina; daughter Nancy Lanier Fowler of Gainesville; and daughter and son-in-law Suzanne and Jerry Brady of Murrayville; grandchildren Andrea, Melanie, Paul, Montarie, Peter, Emily, Daniel, Zachary, Rob, Scott, Alex, Owen, Meredith, Quentin and Caroline; great grandchildren Abby, Travis, Owen, Joanna, Maya, Macy, Melyn, James, Nathaniel, Gideon, William, Nicholas and Jackson; sister-in-laws Barbara Cline of Jasper and Elizabeth Lanier of Crawford.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Mrs. Lanier’s caregivers at Lanier Park New Horizons and Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A private graveside service will be held at Sardis Baptist Church, 392 Sardis Circle, Canton, Georgia 30114, at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30pm on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.
