Betty Jean "B.J." Adams Christman

Betty Jean "B.J." Adams Christman passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018.  She was born in 1925 in Meridian, MS. Betty Jean was a devoted member of Grace Episcopal Church for 70 years, serving on the Altar Guild for 42 of those years. She was a founding member of the Gainesville Junior League, and delivered meals for Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milon Stone Christman, Jr. She is survived by daughter, Dorothy Christman Moore and son-in-law Jim Moore of Orlando, Fla.; daughter, Virginia "Gina" Christman of Atlanta; one son, Milon Stone Christman III and fiancée Anne Baylor of Gainesville; two grandsons, Bennett Seaman Adams (Whitney) of Atlanta and Nicholas Christman (Becca) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and two great-grandchildren, Asa Gray Adams and Montgomery Fate Adams of Atlanta.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, 422 Brenau Ave., Gainesville, GA, 30501, or Meal on Wheels, 430 Prior Street SE, Gainesville, GA, 30501.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6^th at Grace Episcopal Church in Gainesville. Visitation with the family will be held in the Parish Hall following the service.
