Barbara Lester Hanes Griffin

Barbara Lester Hanes Griffin, 70, of Gainesville, GA died Sunday, July 29 at her residence.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Gill will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday August 1, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Barbara was born on November 15, 1947. She was the daughter of Martha Lester Pittman and the late Carlton Lester of Gainesville. Barbara attended Gainesville City Schools, graduated from Gainesville High School and was a charter member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

Barbara is survived by her daughter and son in law, Mandy and Kris Boggs, her son and daughter in law, Brock and Natalie Hanes, grandchildren Tyler and Emma Boggs, Rachel and Christian McManus, mother, Martha Lester Pittman, brother and sister in law, James and Vicki Lester, and other relatives.
