Mildred V. Smith

Mildred V. Smith, 80, of Flowery Branch passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Pendley and Marcus Payne will officiate. Interment will follow in Flowery Branch City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 30th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on August 14, 1937 in Cumming, GA she was the daughter of the late John Hershel and Montree Blackstock Vaughan. She was retired from Mooney’s Mfg. Co, where she worked in furniture assembly. Mrs. Smith loved music and reading and most of all she loved her family. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Cumming.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, James Winfred Smith; son, Donald Smith; brother, Bobby Vaughan; sister, Shirley Vaughan.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter and son in law, Deborah and Marcus Payne of Flowery Branch, Cindy Pamela Smith of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Donnie Payne and Caroline Payne; sister, Mary Mauney of Buford and several nieces and nephews.
