Lois McDaniel Shelton, age 87 of Watkinsville, GA passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her residence.
Born on August 3, 1930 in Watkinsville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and May Mote McDaniel. She was a homemaker, member of Mars Hill Baptist Church, and is the widow of Doug Shelton. Mrs. Shelton is preceded in death by sons, Elmer Shelton, James Shelton, Bill Shelton; daughters, Sue Self and Brenda Sorrows.
Survivors include son, John Shelton, Watkinsville; daughter, Cathy Samples, Hull; caregiver, Anna Vinson, 20 grandchildren; a number of great and great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be held 3p.m.Saturday July 28, 2018 at Ross Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Boswell & Rev. Curtis Hammond officiating.
Arrangements are in the care of Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, GA.
