Betty Todd Heaton

Mrs. Betty Todd Heaton, age 84 of 2474 Rock Road, Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Arlo and Gladys Dodd Todd, she was born August 25, 1933 in Habersham County, Georgia where she lived the greater part of her life. She was retired from the Toccoa Clinic as an Insurance Supervisor with 32 years of service. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Heaton in 2012.

Survivors include two sons Joe Heaton of Clarkesville and Douglas Hugh Heaton and wife Jacki of Woodbine, Georgia; two grandchildren, Jena Heaton and Jordan Elder; brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Peggy Todd of Auburn, Alabama; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lois Barron of Mt. Airy and Jo and Bill Blankenship of Kennesaw, Georgia.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 19, 2018, 11 O’clock a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Don Drawdy and The Reverend Josh Taylor officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Richard Barron, Carl Walters, David Blankenship, Mike Blankenship, Ritch Wilbanks and Ron Cochran.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Bethel Community Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Betty Todd Heaton.
