Patricia Ann Martin

Patricia Ann Martin entered into this life on February 6, 1953 to the parentage of the late Frank and Mary Sims.  She departed this life on July 13, 2018 after a brief illness. She was a graduate of Gainesville High School and West Oklahoma State College.  She also took career related classes at the University of Georgia and the University of North Georgia.  She worked for over 40 years in the childcare industry, most recently at Kids R Kids International, Inc. where she served as Director Of Travel.   Prior to assuming that position she served as a District and Regional Manager of Quality Assurance, and as Director of Human Resources.  

Earlier in life she was united in marriage to the late Randy Patman.  To this uni,, on was born two children, Randy Darius Patman and Shannon Yolanda Head.   She was later united in marriage to Robert L. Martin.  Upon moving to Jefferson she became a member  ofThe St. Paul First Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess.  Patricia was one who loved serving God and serving others.   Patricia will be remembered for her warm smile and generous spirit.  She loved entertaining guests in her home and frequently had groups of people in her home for meals.  

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Robert L. Martin, two children Randy Darius Patmanof Los Angeles Calif., Shannon Yolanda (Samuel) Head of Jefferson, Ga., two step daughters Robin Danyele Martin of Snellville Georgia, and Mary Walpool of Allen, Texas, two brothers Frank (Robyn) Sims, Atlanta, Ga. and Dr. Marcellus Barksdale, Atlanta, Ga.  Also left to cherish her memory a grandson, Paxton Patman of Los Angeles California, a step grandson Brice Douglas of Allen, Texas, a step granddaughter Brianna Walpool of Allen, Texas, a Brother in Law, two Sister in Laws and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Saint John Baptist Church, Gainesville, GA at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be held at Wimberly Funeral Home on Thursday, July 19, 2018 between the hours of 12:00 noon to 7:00 PM. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home, Gainesville,GA
