Troy W. Sudderth

Mr. Troy W. Sudderth, 85, of Homer formerly of Buford passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 14, 2018.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Griffin will officiate. Interment will follow in White Hall Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on August 2, 1932 in Buford, Mr. Sudderth was the son of the late J. D and Rona Mae Hammonds Sudderth. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of The Buford Masonic Lodge #292 F&AM where he was also Past Master. Mr. Sudderth was retired from General Motors where he worked in the paint department. He attended New Haven Congregational Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sudderth is preceded in death by his sons, Ricky Sudderth and Douglas Sudderth, siblings, Walter Ray Sudderth, Lois Farmer, Frances Mullinax, Edna Howington; sister in law, Marilyn Hamby.

Mr. Sudderth is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Buffington Sudderth; grandson Brian Sudderth ; granddaughters, Jessica Kinney, Jacqueline Long, great grandchildren, Hunter Sudderth, Nathaniel Long, Brianna Long, Christopher Kinney; brother, W.H. Sudderth of Sugar Hill; sister in law, Janie Fauscett of Gainesville; brother in law, Raymond Buffington of Fontana, CA and many beloved nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
