Irene Hill Peavy

Irene Hill Peavy, 97, of Gainesville passed away at her residence on July 13, 2018 following a brief illness.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Born on May 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Lewis and Jessie Edwards Hill. Mrs. Peavy was a very active woman having worked until she was in her early 80’s.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Peavy was preceded in death by her husband, James Leon Peavy and her son, William Daniel Peavy.

Mrs. Peavy is survived by her son, James Lewis Peavy of Santa Fe, NM; grandson and wife, Kevin Daniel and Tammy Hatcher Peavy and great granddaughter, Maelie Peavy all of Gainesville.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite 222 Gainesville, GA 30501 or your favorite charity.
