Elizabeth “Libby” Tilghman was born in Hazleton, PA and was a proud graduate of University of PA School of Nursing. Her career was highlighted by supervising the Emergency Department at a large hospital in Miami. Married to Henry Tilghman, she had 2 wonderful daughters, Michelle and Victoria, and a beloved son-in-law, Mitchell Marbut, and 2 fabulous granddaughters, Naia and Rosie. Her life's loves were raising and showing dogs, especially Cairn Terriers. Thistledown Cairns long line of Champions was her greatest achievement.
She loved watching soccer and college football and gardening, especially tending to her McCartney roses. She showed dogs and drove her motor home into her 80's. She was a firecracker in life so it was fitting she departed this life on July 4.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018, 3:00 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Cumming, GA where Libby was a long-time member.
In Lieu of flowers please donate to the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation www.AHVMF.org where there is a Tilghman scholarship started for veterinary students.
