Herman Lamar “Bouncer” Hollis

Herman Lamar “Bouncer” Hollis, 75, of Murrayville passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at The Oaks at Scenic View.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. George Smith and Rev. Kenneth Haynes officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 12, 2018 form 2:00p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on September 12, 1942 in Jefferson, GA he was the son of the late Fred Lamar Hollis and the late Georgia Flora Thomas. Mr. Hollis was employed at and retired from G H Martin Boat House and Dock where he was a welder. He was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hollis is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Donald Hollis.

Mr. Hollis is survived by his brothers, Carlton Hollis of Clermont, Curtis Thomas of Cornelia, Charles Ronald Thomas of Gainesville, Howard Michael Hollis of Gainesville, Randall Steven Hollis of Gainesville; sisters, Glenda Taylor of Monroe, Patricia Haynes of Gainesville; 15 nieces and nephews and other relatives.
