Thelma Thomas Hamilton

Thelma Thomas Hamilton, 88, of Gainesville passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Newburn officiating. Interment will following Springway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on January 27, 1930 in Gainesville she was the daughter of the late R.A. Thomas and Cordie Free Thomas. She was retired from Liberty Mutual Ins. Co. and was a member of Lanier Hills Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hamilton is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Cecil Hamilton.

Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her daughter, Linda Hamilton of Gainesville; granddaughters, Brooke Sullivan, Brittany Lockwood; great grandchildren, Ally Grace Clark, Grayson Carpenter; brother in law and sister in law, Sarah and Wendell Pepper; several brothers, sisters, nieces and  nephews
