Harry suddenly went to be with the Lord on July 5th. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He was born in Charleston, SC, in 1949. He attended Charleston County schools and Clemson University. As a young man, he loved sports and hunting with his dad. He had a 37 year career with the United States Department of Defense working to keep our Navy fleet strong and safe. He received many awards for his superior service. He finished his career at Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, DC, in 2009.

After retiring, he and his wife Linda moved to the Atlanta area to be near their children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the last many years with his family and church family, traveling with friends and family, playing golf and being a senior men’s leader at the Windermere and Olde Atlanta Golf Clubs, leading in the Joyful Hearts Bible fellowship, and singing in the First Redeemer Church choir. Life was a joy for Harry every day and his love had no bounds. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy and a heartbroken family and many dear friends.
