Audrey Elizabeth Herron Simmons

Mrs. Audrey Elizabeth Herron Simmons age 71 of Brookdale Road, Toccoa passed away Thursday July 5, 2018 at her residence.

A daughter of the late A.B. and Tina Fuller Herron, she was born December 14, 1946 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was employed with Walmart for a number of years and a member of Tom’s Creek Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a son Tony Simmons.

Survivors include her husband Clayburn Simmons of the home, daughters and son-in-law Debbie and Ben Moore of the home and Michelle Gambler of Carnesville, daughter-in-law Ashley Simmons of Carnesville, two brothers and sisters-in-law Alton and Fay Herron and Alan and Nan Herron both of Toccoa and sister and brother-in-law Brenda and Buster Adams of Martin.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at Tom’s Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Clack Stubbs and Mr. Lee Adams officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 P.M. til 8 P.M.

Interment will follow in Tom’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Wayne Marcus officiating,

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Nathan Williams, Bruce Adams, Kim Herron, Seth Adams, and Austin Newkirk.

Ray Fulghum will serve as honorary pallbearer.
