J.N. Thomas

J.N. Thomas, age 69, of Alto, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 2, 2018, following an extended illness.

Mr. Thomas was born on April 8, 1949, in Clarkesville, Georgia, to the late Robert and Pauline Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Thomas. Mr. Thomas was employed with Lumite for many years and then served as a security guard until his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Walton of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Kerwin Scroggs of Demorest; brother, Mike Thomas of Baldwin; grandchildren: Dustin Mull, Beyaccia Atkins, Jared Scroggs, and Brooklyn Scroggs; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:30 pm on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Nelson Walden officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Mr. Thomas’ Residence, 115 Greystone Circle, Alto, Georgia 30510.
