Bruce Alan Doll

Mr. Bruce Alan Doll, age 78 of Gainesville, Georgia peacefully passed away Friday June 29th, 2018.

Bruce was a Captain in the United States Air Force for 7 years. He started his career with Western Electric as an engineer. After a company buyout, he worked for AT&T Lucent Technologies as a Systems Analyst and retired in 1996.  In his later years, he served as a Stephen Minister in both North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as well as Gainesville, Georgia.  He was also a deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville.

His main interests included becoming a Master Gardner in Gainesville, golf, carving, camping and reading. He will fondly be remembered for his love of people, his positive attitude and his love for his Lhasa Apso, Pepe of Alexandria.  He loved his family, friends and neighbors and most of all he loved The Lord!

Bruce was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Joanne Judith Doll, his parents, Wilbur H. Doll and Ruth Irene Grady, his sister Susan Marie Doll Wilson and his Aunt Marie Annette Grady.erei 

He is survived by his daughters, Julie Michelle Adams, Lawrenceville, GA; Sherie Jo Dunagan, Watkinsville, GA; grandchildren, Clint Alan Adams, Lawrenceville, GA; Johnathan Payton Dunagan, Grayson, GA; great-granddaughter, Bailee Rae Adams, Buford, GA; great grandson, Benjamin Grey Adams, Buford, GA; son-in-law, Keith Theodore Dunagan, Watkinsville, GA; daughter-in-law Nichole Hope Dunagan, son-in-law, Scott Adams, and his beloved Lhaso Apso, Pepe of Alexandria.  

A private entombment service will be held at Memorial Park followed by a Celebration of Life service to be held at First Presbyterian Gainesville, GA., Monday, July 2nd, 2018 at 11:00 with Shon Peppers, Associate Pastor.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Hall County Master Gardeners, Hall County Extension Office, 734 E.
