James Walter “J.W.” Chambers

      Mr. James Walter “J.W.” Chambers age 83 of Gainesville passed away on Thursday June 28, 2018 following an extended illness.

          Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday June 30, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with private interment to follow. The family will receive friends on Saturday June 30, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

          Jay was born on June 26, 1935 in New Holland, Georgia to the late Walter Chambers and Pearl Sosebee Chambers. He was a retired ramp service manager for United Airlines, and also served his country in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents.

          Mr. Chambers is survived by his wife, Gail Webb Chambers of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Ann Chambers of Berkley Lake, Ga, son, Richard Copeland of Gainesville, son, Ryan Copeland of Gainesville,  step-daughter, Dana Copeland of Gainesville, great-grand-daughter, Cheyenne Copeland of Stone Mountain, Ga, and a number of nieces and nephews.

          In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hall County Humane Society.

          Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
