Bobby Gene Granger, age 81, of Flowery Branch and formerly of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 11:36 am. Bobby was born in Columbus, Georgia on May 23, 1937 to Annie Maude Cole Granger and Harrison Hampton Granger. He is preceded in death by his parents; his aunt Margaret Vivian Cole Mitchell and his uncle Stacy Mitchell of Dadeville, Alabama. Survivors include his daughters Haley Granger Ross and husband Richard Scott Ross of Lexington, SC, Miranda Granger Taylor and husband Jeff Taylor of Brentwood, TN; brother Billy Wayne Granger and wife Glenda Granger of Shreveport, LA; granddaughters Abagail Emma Ross, Scarlett and Adeline Taylor; grandson Richard Connor Ross; several nieces and nephews. Bobby is a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Dadeville, Alabama and a graduate of Dadeville High School Class of 1957. He was employed by Dan River Mills in Wetumpka, Alabama for 18 years before making a career change in 1974 with AT@T. He retired in 1998 from Lucent Technology in Norcross, GA. His hobbies were bass fishing, NASCAR races and University of Alabama Football. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Saturday June 30, 2018 at Shadow Lawn Cemetery, New Franklin Road, LaGrange, GA, 30240 with Pastor Dr. Frank Cox officiating.
