Bobby Joe "Bob" Vines

Bobby Joe "Bob" Vines, age 80, of Cumming, GA passed away Friday, June 15, 2018. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Nancy Flager Vines, Cumming, GA; children, Tammie Mercier, Tallahassee, FL, Gina Vines, Tallahassee, FL, Nicole and Sean Franklin, Cumming, GA, Kennedy Vines, Cumming, GA; four grandchildren, Jonathan Mears, Sydney Mercier, Taylor Franklin, Evan Franklin; great granddaughter, Lakelyn Mears; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Donna Vines, Marietta, GA, Grady and Doris Wilson, Quincy, FL; sister, Peggy Godwin, Kennesaw, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Vines was born on October 28, 1937 in Amarillo, TX. He was a 1954 graduate of Quincy High School, and attended Florida State University. Mr. Vines was a veteran of the U. S. Army, and he was a hospitality manager for the Cadillac Ranch in Cumming, GA. He enjoyed his motorcycle and he loved song writing. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army, his favorite charity, in memory of Bobby Joe Vines.
