Andrew David Shelton, 26, passed away suddenly on June 16th, 2018. He was a bright and beautiful soul that left this earth much too early.
His passions were music, specifically drums, the Falcons, Bulldogs and the Braves.
He leaves behind his heartbroken family – parents Dale and Alyson Shelton, Sister Kelly Shelton, niece Paisley Blain, grandmother, Betty Shelton, an Uncle, Glenn Lucas, and many cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved Pug, Dexter.
Andrew graduated from Forsyth Central High School in 2009. He marched Drum Corp for the Colts in 2010, and also performed with several other Drum and Bugle Corp after high school. He worked at Lambert High School, assisting with the drumline there for several years.
At the time of his death, he was a Manager at Tam’s Tupelo, where he will be greatly missed by his customers and co-workers alike.
Services will be held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home on Saturday June 30th. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am, with reception immediately following at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship has been established in his name to help students that would like to participate in a band program but are not financially able.
