Ruth Franklin Jameson

Ruth Franklin Jameson, age 98 of Clarkesville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 after a brief illness.

Born in Habersham County on March 05, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Hillard & Altha Adams Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Avery C. Jameson, daughter, Judy Collins, and grandson, Joseph Jameson. She was the last surviving member of her 3 brothers and 8 sisters.

Ruth was the oldest member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she loved her church family and friends. She was a shining Christian example of unconditional love. She was retired from Piedmont Automotive after 25 plus years. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, friends, baking, and reading her Bible.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Clinton & Janet Jameson of Flowery Branch, GA; Danny & Gail Jameson of Eastanollee, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Dianne & Johnny Moon of Clarkesville, GA; Polly & Gary Black of Demorest, GA; grandchildren, spouses and great-grandchildren, Matthew & Ashley Jameson, Chase & Reagan; Jonathan & Jennie Jameson, Joe & Jack; Jessica & Jeff Baez, & Brady; Laura & Chuck Whitfield, Bryan & Krista; John & Amy Moon, Megan & John Avery; Michelle & David Monaghan, Eric, Ruthie, & Luke; Shannon & Richard Erwin, Drew, Preston, & Brycen; Jennifer & Todd Collins, Kyle & Kendyl; Julie & Radford Windham, Wyatt & Witt; William Black; Annie & Colin Connors, Corbin & Ashley; Jamie Johnson, Logan, Emily, & Bailey; Ben Sutphin; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Jameson and Rev. David Harbin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating at the graveside.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
