Joanne Westmoreland Lovell

Joanne Westmoreland Lovell, 84, of Gainesville went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, June 18, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Clack Stubbs, Rev. Stacy Phillips and Rev. Billy King officiating. Mrs. Lovell will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Amy’s Creek Baptist Church in Clarkesville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on November 20, 1933 in Clarkesville, Ga she was the daughter of the late Robert Clinton and Una Belle Holcomb Westmoreland. She was a homemaker and a longstanding member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a member of the choir.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lovell is preceded in death by her daughter, Melanie Lovell Ash and sister, Sandra Westmoreland.

Mrs. Lovell is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jesse James Lovell; son, Stan Lovell (Adrienne) of Dawsonville; daughter, Marcia Kesler (Allen) of Clermont; daughter, Jayne Dale (Jerry) of Cleveland; son, Jamie Lovell (Kellie) of Gainesville; son in law, Robert Ash of Gainesville; grandchildren, Phillip Lovell, Jennifer Brogdon, Natasha Phillips (Brian), Jessica Owensby (Mike), Jeffrey Lovell, James Kesler, Kristopher Dale, Kaci Reed (Adam), Kena Dale, Elizabeth Bearden (Sean), Jodi Ash, Jay Lovell, Ryan Lovell; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Meyer Westmoreland (Lucille) of Cleveland, and Jack Westmoreland (Carol) of Demorest.
