Dorothy Rose Akin, age 94 of Danielsville, GA passed away Monday, June 18, 2018.
Born on February 20, 1924 in Commerce, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Leo, Sr. and Lola Powell Young. She was the widower of her first husband, William House and second husband, Ben Akin, a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Richardson, Greensboro, GA; special sister-in-law who cared for her over 20 years, Barbara Young, Danielsville; 5 grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.
Graveside services will be held 11 am Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Joey Young and Rev. James Young officiating.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
Arrangements are in the care of Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, GA.
