Mr. Emmitt Parrish, age 70, of Cleveland, GA, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018.
Mr. Parrish was born in Austell, GA to the late Emmitt and Myrtle “May” Young Parrish. He moved to Atlanta at eight years old and later became an electrician. Emmitt and Yvonne moved to Cleveland, GA in 1987 where he fell in love with the North Georgia Mountains. Mr. Parrish retired from the IBEW Local 613 of Atlanta. He was the Pastor at Grace Fellowship Apostolic Church and loved spending time with his family and friends. Emmitt enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading the Bible.
Survivors include wife of 36 years, Joyce Yvonne Parrish, Cleveland, GA; sister, Diane Fastnacht, Carrollton, GA; brother-in-law, Earl Mathis; brother and sister in law, George and Joy Meeks, Chiefland, FL; sister and brother in law, Audrey and Bill Carter, Chiefland, FL; and 9 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 P.M. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Brother John Prater and Brother Richard Rickman will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 P.M. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, before the service at Barrett Funeral Home, Cleveland, GA.
Funeral services in Chiefland, FL will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Rick Gooding Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ellzey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, June 8, 2018 at Rick Gooding Funeral Home.
