Mrs. Helen Emily Knight Nix age 93 of Gainesville passed away on Monday June 04, 2018 at her home following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday June 07, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Clack Stubbs and Reverend Brian Malcom will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 06, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday June 07, 2018 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. with funeral following at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nix was born on April 10, 1925 in Sautee-Nacoochee Valley, Georgia to the late Johnston Knight and Alice Sosebee Knight. She was a devoted housewife and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband John L. Nix.
Helen is survived by: her daughter Sarah Adams, granddaughter and husband, Tim and Lisa McNeal, great- grandson, Dustin McNeal, great-grandson and wife, Bradon and Hannah McNeal, great-great grandson, Maverick McNeal, granddaughter and husband, Tommy and Amy England, great-grand-daughter, Lainey England, great-grandson, Luke England; daughter and husband Kim and Rebecca Stinson, grandson and wife, Kile and Chelsie Stinson, great-granddaughters, Kennadie and Avaleigh Stinson, grandson and wife, Cory and Melissa Stinson; son and wife John and Debbie Nix, grandson and wife, Jason and Cassie Nix, great-grand-daughter, Josie Nix; daughter and husband Donald and Lynn Fisher, grand-daughter, Britney Fisher; son and wife Chris and Laurie Nix, grandson and husband, Adam Nix and Markus Huger, grand-daughter and husband, Chris and Mary Beth Smith, great-granddaughter, Elaina Smith, great grandson, Nathan Smith.
