Sarah Ann Ivester Burroughs, age 27 of Clarkesville, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018.
Born in Stephens County on January 1, 1991, she was a daughter of Gregory Charles Ivester and Debbie Ann Hazel Erwin. Mrs. Burroughs was of the Baptist faith. She loved people, especially her nieces and nephews and enjoyed socializing with her friends. She also enjoyed her dog, Peanut and listening to music, especially her favorite song, “Dancing in the Sky.” She was herself musically inclined having played the trumpet and the flute.
Mrs. Burroughs was preceded in death by her grandfather, Edward Ivester and a nephew, Brandon Ivester, Jr.
Surviving are husband, Jesse Burroughs of Alto; mother and stepfather, Debbie and Randall Erwin of Clarkesville; father and stepmother, Gregory and Michelle Ivester of Clarkesville; brother and sister-in-law, Brandon and Susan Ivester of Alto; half brother, Chase Ivester of Clarkesville; nieces, Olivia, Ember and Brecklyn Ivester; nephews, Hunter and Jax Ivester; grandparents, Charles and Martha Hazel and Ann Ivester all of Clarkesville; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services are 11 am Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Turnerville with Rev. Donald Grizzle and Bishop Kevin Magness officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
