Maria Eduviges Medina-Lopez

Mrs. Maria Eduviges Medina-Lopez, 63, of Gainesville passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Deacon Gilberto Perez will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm.

Born on August 11, 1954 in Tamazula, Jalisco Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Jesus Medina and Maria Lopez. She was a homemaker and attended St. Michael Catholic Church.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 siblings.

Mrs. Medina-Lopez is survived by her husband, Luis Manuel Chavez of Gainesville; sons, Juan Chavez, Daniel Chavez, Luis Chavez, Gerardo Chavez all of Gainesville; daughter, Maricela Chavez of Mexico; son, Julio Chavez of Nashville, TN; several grandchildren, great grandchildren; sister, Angela Medina-Lopez of Mexico and a number of other relatives.
