George S. Chapman

Mr. George S. Chapman, age 95, of Flowery Branch passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  Pastor John Batusic will officiate.  The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Chapman was born July 3, 1922 in Epping, New Hampshire.  He was a member of Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church, upon moving here from Exeter, New Hampshire in 1985.  An avid piano player, he met 4 different Governors. 

Mr. Chapman is survived by his wife, Choeun Chapman of Flowery Branch; son, Stephen Chapman of Parkersburg, West Virginia; daughter & son-in-law, Sandra & Ralph Ball of Lawrenceville; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Reed of Rhode Island; and several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Chapman; parents; and 7 siblings.
