Lucretia Noyes Fowler

Lucretia Noyes Fowler, age 71 of Braselton, GA, died Monday, May 28, 2018 after a short battle with leukemia. Lucretia was born in Joplin, MO on May 22, 1947 to the late William Herbert Noyes & Louise Jones Noyes. Lucretia was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Joe William Pruett, and her infant daughter, Jennifer. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Fowler of Athens, GA, her sister, Nancy Noyes Butts (Jim) of Hilton Head, SC, niece, Deb Butts Henke of Cincinnati, OH, nephew Jim Butts of Cincinnati, OH. Mrs. Fowler attended Shawnee Mission East High School in Leawood, Kansas and graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas with a master’s degree in Education Studies. She was a retired social studies educator with Gwinnett County Public Schools. Lucretia and Charles enjoyed exploring new places and traveling the world together. She enjoyed water aerobic classes at The Spa at Chateau Elan and spending time with her dog Dixie Lee. Mrs. Fowler was an active member of Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, was a member of the Chancel Choir and the Seekers Sunday School Class. She loved the Lord and to praise and worship together at Hamilton Mill UMC. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church. Rev. Jason Mincey will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church and The Pantry at Hamilton Mill UMC.
