Joe Pasquarelli

Obituary Date: Tuesday, May 22, 2018

Joe passed suddenly to his heavenly reward at his home in Gainesville on May 22 at the age of 33.

He was the loving and devoted husband of Jamie Telford Pasquarelli for nine years; the beloved and cherished son of Len and Susan Pasquarelli of Atlanta and son-in-law of James and Lynn Telford of Homer, Ga.; the adored brother of Amanda Pasquarelli of Nutley, N.J; the brother-in-law of Cindy and Steve Stephens and Jason Hegenbart; the proud uncle of Chase and Griffin Stephens; and the nephew of Joseph Jr. and Alma Pasquarelli of Pittsburgh, Pa., Linda and Albert Battisti of Levittown, Pa., and Timothy and Virginia Detweiler of Pittsburgh.  He is also survived by numerous cousins.

Joe was the grandson of the late Joseph and Anna Pasquarelli and of the late Robert and Emily Detweiler; He was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.  He was also preceded in death by his best friend, Justin Poole.

Joe was a graduate of Brookwood High School in Snellville and of Piedmont College in Demorest. He was a talented and creative graphics designer at the Gainesville Printing Post.  He loved his work there and will be missed by co-workers, friends, clients and customers.

Joe was a sweet and gentle boy who matured into a loving, caring, generous young man. He was a devoted moviegoer who loved all genres, but especially science fiction, enjoyed comic books and even dabbled in attempting to write several television scripts and screenplays. Although not much interested in sports, Joe became an avid baseball fan who was converted to the sport by his wife Jamie. He had a wide and varied range of talents and interests and was generous to all who asked for his help with various projects. He will be sorely missed by all of those he touched in his too-brief life.

Joe’s life will be celebrated at a visitation from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 26 at the Little and Davenport Funeral Home, 355 Dawsonville Highway, Gainesville, Ga. 30501, and by a service immediately following the visitation at the funeral home’s chapel.  Rev. Mark J. TJepkema will officiate.
