Deborah Turpin Whitfield, 55, of Clermont, passed away May 23, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Knight officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 25th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 26th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on December 30, 1962 in Gainesville she was the daughter of the late Gerald Turpin and of Betty Savage Turpin. She was a house wife and attended Pond Fork Baptist Church.
Mrs. Whitfield is survived by her husband, Leon Whitfield of Clermont; daughters and sons in law, JoAnn and Timothy Grega of Texas, Teresa and Grant Blaeser of Texas; son and daughter in law, Michael and Anna-Maria Whitfield of California; 8 grandchildren; sister and brother in law, Kathy and Rex Evans of Gillsville; brothers, Bradley Turpin of Maysville; brother and sister in law, Junior and Pat Turpin of Maysville and a number of other relatives.
