Earl Bennett Westbrook, age 79, of Cumming, GA, was born September 8, 1938 and passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018. Bennett was a loving daddy, granddaddy and great granddaddy. He was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and the owner and operator of Westbrook Excavation and Westbrook Trucking for many years. He was a hard worker, loved the outdoors and was friendly to all he met. He loved telling stories about the good old days growing up in Forsyth County and running his businesses. Bennett is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Carolyn Cannon Westbrook; parents, Earl and Ferrell Westbrook and his infant sister, JoAnn Westbrook.
Bennett is survived by his daughters and sons in law, Janet and Hal Pruitt, Julia and Mike Whitley; grandchildren, Carla and Rusty Gober, Carmen Pruitt, Madison Whitley and friend, Hunter Lipham; great grandchildren, Rayden, Reece and Ava Gober and many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. David Laycock and Rev. Rusty Gober officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
