James D. Strickland

James D. Strickland, 81, of Ball Ground passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018.  Mr. Strickland retired from Verizon and was an avid photographer, ham radio operator, (call sign K4AUK), and fisherman.  In his younger years he enjoyed playing tennis and playing guitar with his sons.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtice Strickland, sons and daughters-in-law, Stan and Valerie Strickland, Matthew and Kristin Strickland; a brother, George Strickland; brothers-in-law and their wives, Jerry and Linda Ridings, Michael and Judy Ridings; a sister-in-law and her husband, Beth and David Byess.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 19, at 3:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Byess and Rev. Michael Ridings officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour prior to the service.
