Raymond Lewis Durden, age 72 of Clermont died on May 14, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Clermont, Ga. Rev. Tim Hicks and Rev. Kevin Woody will officiate. Interment will be in the Wauka Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 12 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, at Strickland Funeral Home. Lewis was a Vietnam Veteran 1966-1968, SPC, Artillery, Former Boy Scout Leader, FFA Alumni, Rock Creek Veterans Group Member, Antique Car Enthusiast, Deacon and Sunday School Teacher of The Baptist Faith. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Lewis was proceeded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mattie Rae Durden, infant son Ronald, in-laws, Ranzy and Janie Wilson, and other close friends and family. Lewis is survived by his wife, Bonnie Durden. Sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Julie Durden, Mickey and Katie Durden, and Mark and Cortney Durden. Eight grandchildren, Lydia, Sydney, Sarah, Maggie, Noah, Wyatt, Walker and Clay. His sister, Barbara Gobble, and a niece and nephew.
