Faye Edmonds Spencer

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Faye Edmonds Spencer, age 83 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Thursday, May 10, 2018.  Mrs. Spencer was born in Valdosta, Georgia the daughter of the late Thomas Leslie Edmonds and the late Lexie Dunlap Edmonds, was a member of Galilee Christian Church and was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Earl Edmonds and Lee Edward Edmonds, and her husband, John Doyle Spencer.

Survivors include a son, Steve Spencer of Athens, two daughters, Faye “Penny” Shepherd and her husband Alan D. of Jacksonville, Florida, and Rayetta Leigh of Athens.  Six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2018 from the Galilee Christian Church Cemetery with Minister Tom Plank officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall of Galilee Christian Church.
